My desires lay buried under a shroud of mistrust.

My resolve, firm.

Hidden feelings will be anchored there.

Not even the strongest of wills can worm the truth from me.

The walls remain.

  1. It can be difficult to tear down those walls. Wonderful word choices here, especially the visual this line creates… “buried under a shroud of mistrust.”
