Your strength and tenacity plagues yet amazes me. You defy the odds of modern medicine and diagnosis. Despite expectation you continue to thrive and live to see another day. The gates will wait.

Written for the weekend Trifecta Challenge and dedicated to my mom who is in failing health, but continues to fight with every ounce of her determination.
The challenge is this: Last weekend we gave you a super prescriptive prompt. We also promised you we’d ease up this week. As such, this weekend we are asking for a thirty-three word free-write. Any topic, any style–just give us your best thirty three.
awesome 33
watched my father-in-law do this before he left us last year, not, my grandparents.
Thanks – it’s a tough road!
Does this mean she’s doing well?
She was in hospital again for a couple of days and is now back out. She has more lives than a cat.
But that’s good, right? I mean, is she still lucid and able to enjoy life?
Absolutely…..she continues to amaze and inspire me.
Okay! Good! I’m glad to hear that!
Thanks. It’s been a long road.
I’m sure it has. It seems all roads have been long lately.
Very true. How are you doing. I’ve been thinking about you.
Up and down, which is better than being down all the time. I’m getting there, I think.
The story appeared to me gradually – the words coming together in one amazing piece. The structure and your word choices are brilliant. Really enjoyed.
Thank you so much.
my fingers are crossed for you and your mom
